School of Theology
July 21st, 2018
Everyday, we are surrounded by questions: Who is God, and who are we? Is there a point to this life? Is there any way to fix what is broken? Is there more to come or is this it? Are there any answers?
First Peter 3.15 says, “Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.” Have you wanted to explore your Christian faith in greater depth in order to gain confidence in answering these questions?
Hope Unlimited Church is pleased to offer a structured, comprehensive program in the Bible, theology, and Christian ministry to help you do just that.
Biblical Studies is the foundation of all Christian studies. In this subject cluster, you’ll get a thorough introduction to the books of the Old and New Testaments, training in hermeneutics—how to interpret the Bible—as well as detailed study of selected books. You also be equipped to use the internet and other electronic resources designed to help you get the most out of your study of the Scriptures.
Theology or “talk about God” builds on the foundation of biblical studies, summarizing and explaining the teachings of the Bible. This subject cluster will take a consensual approach to introducing all the standard areas of Christian doctrine, from knowing God to his nature and character, from creation to consummation.
Ministry & Spirituality are the capstone of Christian studies, the practical implementation of what has been learned from the Bible and theology. This cluster will address a wide range of ministry areas both inside and outside the church: preaching, evangelism, administration, and missions. The inner life is equally important, so this cluster will also cover subjects related to spiritual discipline and the experience of faith.
